La Rosa, is a campsite in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park constructed from recycled, reclaimed and found objects and in an area of outstanding beauty. With this in mind, the camping is low energy (candles and fairy lights), low pollution (no nasty chemicals or generators) and respectful to wildlife (the quieter you are the more chance you have of seeing the deer). Showers are in a converted byre, the compost loo is in a original vintage palm-reader's hut and there's an open air roll-top bath in the orchard area. It's fantasy land full of nostalgia, romance and all things kitsch, camp and bohemian.
Accomodation is in vintage and classic caravans including chrome Roma's full of etched glass, a converted truck with woodburner and a tipi. Each van is furnished in keeping with it's theme and includes funky decorations, vintage fabrics and kitsch items chosen to make you smile.
