Aim – reclaiming the streets, utilising urban space as an untapped format for personal creativity, taking a risk associated with installing illicit artwork in public, brightening the day of a stranger, other.
Method: again run with this one as far and wide as you like but the plan is to purchase 1x Gnome and to leave it somewhere that would bring a smile to your face.
Make sure you take a picture of your gnome as you set it free and post it here.
Suggestions –
-Leave it somewhere you pass everyday so you can check up on the little fella’.
- On a shelf in the supermarket, maybe hidden in the crisps or fishing rod gnomes in the frozen fish finger section.
- Leave it at the bus stop (possibly with a stick and a handkerchief), on top of the bus stop, on the bus itself.
- Recommended gnome – Woolworths have a £1 gnome, it’s about a foot tall, and more than a little bit insane looking. They also do a ‘paint your own gnome’ for a couple of quid.
- Doesn’t have to be a gnome, cheap and/or naff ornaments from a charity shop work just as well.
Deadline: One week from today – 19th May.
